Les Colonnes Strasbourg Zenith

At the gates of Strasbourg, the road between Wolfisheim and Mittelhausbergen runs along the fortified belt of the Alsatian underground. Beyond Pfulgriesheim opens the Kochersberg, the "granary" of Alsace. The large cultivated areas are punctuated by round hills. From Osthoffen-Dahlenheim, they give way to the vineyards that stretch over the Mossig hillsides on the slopes of Mount Scharrach. The return journey to Wolfisheim is along the banks of the Mossig and then the Bruche canal.

This walk located on the outskirts of Strasbourg in the Bas-Rhin takes you along the diversion canal between the Passerelle du Glacis and Rue Georges Wodli. The path leads you to discover the gardens of the Fossé des Remparts. This wooded promenade in a high-density urban area offers a beautiful natural setting.

This hike starts at the Montagne Verte station. The route goes through the Parc Eugène Imbs, the Jardins Familiaux Wolfsinsel, the Piste Maurice Garin and partly runs along the Ill river. The route continues via the Pont de la Montagne Verte and the Piste du Herrenwasser, before returning to the starting point.

Apart from the occasional ramps up to the top of the dike, the Rhine Valley rolls easily and easily. You cycle gently up and down through northern Alsace and the vineyards, it is rarely really steep. The climb up to the “Route des Crêtes” of the Vosges is a small feat, but the ridge road itself is only slightly undulating. Good signs ensure easy orientation.
