Apart from the occasional ramps up to the top of the dike, the Rhine Valley rolls easily and easily. You cycle gently up and down through northern Alsace and the vineyards, it is rarely really steep. The climb up to the “Route des Crêtes” of the Vosges is a small feat, but the ridge road itself is only slightly undulating. Good signs ensure easy orientation.
