A nice riverside and lakeside walking path that follows the well-kept park with washrooms and theatre events in summer. While the route is open all year, it is most well-maintained in the summer months, and hikers will have to snowshoe or cross-country ski here in winter. There is no shortage of benches and they are all placed to take advantage of the beautiful view of Ramsey Lake. The great scenery of Sudbury is on full display here, from the sandy beachfront to, granite rocks on the coast.

Lake Laurentian Loop offers great views and challenging elevation changes at certain points. Parking spaces may become difficult to find in the afternoon, but extra parking can be found at the BioSki Club just down the road from the park. Overall, this trail is very well marked, and not to difficult, and there are even some large blueberry bushes that can become ripe in August.

This loop includes a steep climb that leads to a beautiful panoramic lookout over the eastern part of Lake Laurentian. The trail then runs along the shoreline and returns back up for lovely ridge views, before descending to where the easy Point trails separate into Loop One and Loop Two. Hikers recommend wearing proper footwear, since the trail bed can vary between rocks and dirt, and of course ice during the winter.
