This route follows an old gravel road and crosses a floating boardwalk over a wetland area. The walking trail is lined by a beautiful forest, with great views of the lake. There are washrooms and parking available near the trailhead at Moonlight Beach Park. The proximity to the lake makes the trails fairly icy in the winter, so bringing spikes or poles is recommended.

This loop includes a steep climb that leads to a beautiful panoramic lookout over the eastern part of Lake Laurentian. The trail then runs along the shoreline and returns back up for lovely ridge views, before descending to where the easy Point trails separate into Loop One and Loop Two. Hikers recommend wearing proper footwear, since the trail bed can vary between rocks and dirt, and of course ice during the winter.

Lake Laurentian Loop offers great views and challenging elevation changes at certain points. Parking spaces may become difficult to find in the afternoon, but extra parking can be found at the BioSki Club just down the road from the park. Overall, this trail is very well marked, and not to difficult, and there are even some large blueberry bushes that can become ripe in August.
