The Kakiat Trail crosses Harriman State Park off Kakiat Park Road outside Montebello to Grove Drive outside Tuxedo. Hikers can set a shuttle to do this as a point-to-point or use a ride share service to get back to the trailhead where they started. The trail is mostly wooded and crosses over several brooks.

The Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail runs north-south across Harriman State Park starting off Orange Ave just outside Suffern and ending near Hessian Lake near Fort Clinton. Over the course of the trail, you will hike over mountain peaks, cross multiple creeks, past lakes, and be treated to sweeping viewpoints.

This is a short but steep hike following the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail to an overlook. From this point there are views of the Ramapo River, Suffern, and the highway below. Parking is not available right at the trailhead, so hikers will need to park in Suffern and walk on Orange Avenue to the start of the trail.

The top of Panther Mountain offers sweeping views of the area. Some sections of trail are not well marked, so download the map ahead of time. Parking at this trailhead is very limited. There are a few parking spots at the equestrian center, or you can park at the beginning of the road that leads to the equestrian center and walk to the trailhead from there.

Follow the Pine Meadow Trail to Pine Meadow Lake then Conkins Crossing Trail. This will lead to Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail before reaching Pine Meadow Trail again.
