The trailhead can be tricky to find- From Live Oak Rd, turn north onto Timberlane School Rd. Follow this road until you see the freeway overpass. Just before you reach the overpass, you will see the parking area. Parking is a dirt area on your left. The trail starts at the top of the hill in front of the parking area. There are lots of ups and downs and steep areas. The trail is well-marked with diamond green trail markers on the trees.
