This is a short and easy trail used primarily for hiking. This interpretive trail in nested in the Lake Jackson Mounds Archaeological State Park. The trail passes remnants of an 1800's gristmill and was once part of a large plantation. Many native trees and plants are found along the trail. Visitors may encounter a variety of bird species including osprey. The Butler Mill Trail is a great hike for the whole family.

This is a nicely shaded route that travels mostly along a paved path. There are beautiful viewpoints along the way, especially by Lake Esther where visitors can stop and relax by the water. Spur trails and connectors are available for those who wish to extend or shorten their route. This park is also conveniently located next to shopping areas within walking distance.

This route features a variety of terrain changes with a couple of steep hill climbs. The scenery is mostly open spaces with a couple of swamps- sun protection is advised. There are many beautiful majestic live oaks to observe and a diverse amount of plant and animal species live in the area. The county maintains these mowed trails.

An almost mile-long loop around the small Lake Ella. There are homes, businesses, and restaurants nearby. Accessibility: There are 2 designated accessible spaces in the partially paved parking lot on Legion Street at the west end of the trail. Both of them are van-accessible with a striped access aisle. The trailhead can be tricky to find- From Live Oak Rd, turn north onto Timberlane School Rd. Follow this road until you see the freeway overpass. Just before you reach the overpass, you will see the parking area. Parking is a dirt area on your left. The trail starts at the top of the hill in front of the parking area. There are lots of ups and downs and steep areas. The trail is well-marked with diamond green trail markers on the trees.
