The trailhead for this scenic paved walk is located along Eureka Springs Rd in a large parking lot. There are not many views along the trail, however, there are many opportunities to view wildlife and wildflowers. This trail is intended to be multi-use and is shared by mountain bikers and hikers. Bug spray is recommended due to the number of bugs present in the warm months. The route is not very well-marked and downloading the route beforehand to navigate is suggested.

This is a straightforward paved trail through the southern portion of the Davis Islands area. The trail is surrounded by a small airport and a nice neighborhood with walkable and bikeable streets. The Old Fort King Trail is a trail located from John B. Sargeant Park to Hillsborough River State Park. The trail is split up amongst a 2-mile paved portion and an 8-mile rough terrain portion. There is also an off-road trail that runs along the paved portion for horses. There is a $2 parking fee at this trailhead location. Dogs are not allowed on the boardwalk trail.

This is a paddle route meant for kayaking, canoeing, or other forms of paddling- it is not a hiking route. This section of the Hillsborough River will take you about two hours to paddle. The width of the river ranges between 20 and 60 feet. About three-quarters of this section is shaded by large oak and cypress trees. You will see a variety of wildlife during your paddle.
