The Atlantikwall walking route is a historical experience walking route right through The Hague. The route follows the tracks of the wide anti-tank ditch that was built here during the Second World War. Seventeen information panels that you will encounter along the way tell you more about the history that took place in that specific place.

The Zeemansloop is an annually organized walking tour that starts in Scheveningen. The Zeemansloop takes place on the third Saturday of April. Routes of 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 or 40 kilometers are organised. This is the 30 kilometer route, with which you make a round from Scheveningen through the dunes of Meijendel. The route also takes you a long way over the beach.

Starting from the bus stop you walk along the harbors to the beach. The first three kilometers of the trail you walk on the beach Zuiderstrand. Next you head into the dunes of the Westduinpark. From the tops of the dunes you enjoy wonderful views over the beach. Last, you walk through the small forrest Bosjes van Poot back to the starting point.
