To hike the Monument Hill, enter the trail through the Buffalo pasture. Monuments (that no longer exist) were built on top of the hill by people who came to the springs when they could not walk and after many weeks of bathing and drinking the water were able to walk to the top of the hill. A pile of rocks represent the monuments that were first built. There is a paper to sign at the top saying that you've been there.

Roundtop in a high hill at the north edge of Thermopolis. A small portion of the land and the hill itself were donated to Hot Springs County by the Freudenthal family who formerly owned the land in conjunction with a farm a few miles to the west. Take the airport road, turn sharply left at the top of the hill on a dirt road, follow it up to the families monument. The trail starts up and to the right.
