This is an unmarked trail that leads to a beautiful view of Cox Bay and the open ocean. It is a must-do if visiting the Tofino area! The trail is not well-marked and having the GPS handy to find the beginning of the trail through the forest is recommended. Make sure to wear ankle-high shoes and long socks as it can get pretty muddy at a few scrambly sections.

This short trail provides access down to Tonquin Beach by an easy walk through the Pacific coast rainforests. There is limited parking at the trailhead, but it is so close to Tofino that folks will often walk in from town. The trail can be extended for a longer hike to Third Beach, Middle Beach, and beyond. Please stay on public trails...
