Along the Aura River there is an outdoor trail where you can walk or cycle. The southwest side route is called the "Trade, industry and administration" route. Along the path is the Wäino Aaltonen museum, Martti Church, Turku Castle, and several other attractions. The route starts from the cathedral and goes along the riverbank to Föri. On the opposite bank, the trip goes to Turku castle and returns along the north bank back to the starting point.

Along the Aura River is an outdoor trail where you can walk or cycle. The route to the northeast is called the “Nourishment of Spirit and Soul” route. Turku Cathedral, the Sibelius Museum, Åbo Akademi, and several other attractions are on the trail. The route starts from the cathedral and first crosses the bridge. On the opposite shore, the journey goes to Halistenkoski, where the route crosses the Aura River at Halistensilta and returns along the shore back to the starting point.

Kuninkaantie (The King's Road) is an old postal route that in its entirety ran from Bergen, Norway via Oslo and Stockholm to Mariehamn, and from there via the Archipelago Sea to Turku, Helsinki, and through southern Finland to Vyborg and St. Petersburg. This section runs between Turku and Helsinki. The route starts from the Turku Cathedral and ends at the Helsinki Market Square (from which it is only a block long journey to the Helsinki Cathedral).

The west coast route runs from Turku to Oulu following the west coast of Finland. It goes through Pori, Vaasa, and Kokkola. The route passes through several wonderful coastal landscapes, as well as many historical places. The route also passes through cities where you can enjoy various services. The route is marked with signs for Cycling in Finland.

The Archipelago Ring Road is a tourist route established in 1996 that goes around the beautiful landscapes of the archipelago of Southwest Finland. The route can be traveled by bike, car, or even on foot. Along the way there is nature, island villages, seashores, and even a view of the President's summer residence, Kultaranta. There are three large ferries and two smaller ones along the route. The ferry between Iniö's Dalen and Houtskari's Mossala has a fee and runs only in summer.
