Starting from Piazza 1° Maggio, proceed towards the Duomo and then reach Piazza Girolamo Venerio, Piazza Giacomo Matteotti, and then go up to Colle del Castello, where you can visit the Castle of Udine. Further information on the Castle of Udine is available here: https://www.civicimuseiudine.it/it/musei-civici/musei-civici-del-castello/il-castello

An urban and peri-urban circuit that still touches the few remaining rural tracks. In particular, from section 2,2 km to section 2,9 km, the route follows an abandoned railway track that can be traced back to before the last WW and is a railway link on which the ballasts have a radius of curvature that is too small for current "on rail" vehicles. The whole area is under wind from the Prealps and Julian Alps and the air is very fine and uncontaminated.
