This route takes you from the small, inland community of Porvenir, through the hills and rugged landscape of Baja California Norte, to the coastal town of Santa Ana. Here there are opportunities to camp on the beach, or at Rancho las Palmas, which It overlooks the mouth of a calm river. The route is very long, so it is suggested that you try it as a point-to-point route, and do it by backpacking.

This fun route explores one of the hills that forms the western slope of Valle de Guadalupe, an area well known for its vineyards. You start at the Casa Frida vineyard, where you can perhaps enjoy a drink after your hike. You will have beautiful views across this famous valley with its pretty vineyards, but be careful and bring plenty of water and sunscreen because there is no shade here.
