Beautiful hike from Valles to Maranza. The return to Vals can be done by bus or on foot.

A great summit hike near Maranza in Val Pusteria. The path begins at the Val d'Altafossa car park and initially leads along gentle paths to the Großberghütte refuge. Then the steep ascent begins over the Jochsteig and leads over an increasingly barren landscape up to the Gaisjoch - Cima della Capra (2641 m). It offers a fantastic all-round view and with a bit of luck you can even see chamois.

A fantastic circular hike in Altfasstal Valley | Val d'Altafossa near Meransen | Maranza. The path begins at the Altfassal car park and leads through an idyllic forest on leisurely forest paths to the Wieserhütte refuge (1850 m). Here one can enjoy South Tyrolean specialties and products from their own cheese dairy. The way back leads past the Pranter Stadl and on the Jägersteig 16B back to the starting point. Great views, moderate to heavy hike, starting in Vals/Südtirol. You can take up the gondola to the hill station and start your hike on the trail - it leads you to Fane Alm, one of the most beautiful places to visit in the area. From there walk down back to Vals or take a lift back to your starting place to make this a loop.

This great circular hike is located in the Valser Tal | Valle di Valles above Vals | Valles. It begins at the mountain station of the Jochtalbahn cable car, which can be reached from Vals | Valles. The path leads along a leisurely mountain road the Linderalm and then on to the Rifuiog Anratter Hütte near the Schwaigeralm (1810 m).
