This route takes you to the Refuge du Mont Fort via the Col des Vaux. The hike starts from the bourgeois resort of Verbier and reaches the Refuge du Mont Fort, passing the Cols of La Croix de Coeur, Mines and des Vaux at an altitude of over 2700 m.

A fantastic ascent hike from Verbier to Les Ruinettes. The path begins in Verbier at the valley station of the Médran cable cars and first leads through an idyllic forest to the Le Mayentzet restaurant. In large curves and a constant incline, the route continues to Les Ruinettes. The descent can be made on foot or with the Verbier-Les Ruinettes cable car. This trail is also called the Mont-Fort circuit. This 2-day circuit takes place in the Val de Bagne in the Swiss Valais, with an overnight stay at the Cabane du Mont-Fort (a large capacity Swiss Alpine Club guarded refuge). Completely signposted route, but on alpine paths, with passage of high altitude passes or ledges on steep slopes (chamois trail).

This route starts in the center of Verbier and then leads through an idyllic forest to the picturesque Sait Christophe Chapel. In the charming little chapel, visitors can take a mystical break while admiring the stained glass windows by the artist Marcel Michellod. From the top, a fantastic view of the Bagnes Valley and its peaks enchants.
