This is the Batavia Spur of the Illinois Prairie Path, it connects IPP Aurora Branch with the Fox River Trail. The first couple of miles on the east end are nothing to brag about, the path runs along a noisy interstate highway and other busy roads. The surface of the path is made of clay-like gravel, does not have adequate drainage so it is soft with lots of water.
