Trail Number 18 follows purple blazes with 18 painted on them through the woods with views of the Genesee River. The trail leads to a peninsula with the Genesee River on one side and Silver lake Outlet on the other. The trail can be muddy in the spring or following recent rain, so boots are good to have.

Begin at Finger Lakes Trail (FLT) access F near Mount Morris Dam and follow the blue trail to an unmarked trail that goes to the river bottom. Stop to explore the river bottom for awhile before following the unmarked trail to FLT connection, FLT, and access G out to River Road. Enjoy countless views of the Genesee River along the way.

The Gorge Trail has a dedicated parking area off Park Road. Follow the trail past the Tea Table Overlook, Wolf Creek, Snake Hill Overlook, Great Bend Overlook, and Archery Field Overlook before arriving at the parking area for Lower Falls. The St. Helena Picnic Area is near the starting point and a good place to stop and have lunch after your hike.

To begin this hike, park near the state park visitor center. A trail from the visitor center will lead to the Gorge Trail and viewpoints of Middle Falls. Walk along the Park Road to the start of the Mary Jemison Trail which quickly leads to the Hemlock Trail. This loops through the woods and crosses over a creek before heading back to the starting point.

Begin by stopping at the viewpoint for Middle Falls before walking up the Gorge Trail to Inspiration Point and views of Lower Falls. The route ends at the footbridge crossing over the Genesee River. Retrace the route back to the starting point. The William Pryor Letchworth Museum is near the starting point and a good place to stop afterwards.
