From Weinfelden you cross the Thur several times between small bridges, the wire rope bridge at Bussnang and on the wooden bridge from 1837 at Eschikofen. The path to Frauenfeld leads through the Allmend nature reserve. This stage of the circular hiking trail leads from Weinfelden and first goes directly to the Thurwasser. Passing the Rothenhausen village, it then continues on to the Wertbühl. Then past the flat moor with its 13 hectares and then up to the small hill with the ruins of Anwil, which have been here since the 13th or 14th century. Hiking through a short stretch of forest you finally reach Neukirch an der Thur.

The trail leads from Weinfelden and then on via Thurwasser. Then after the Thur bridge, the trail branches off and then continues over the edge of the forest. From Wertbühl the path goes into the Moos area and then past the flat moor and the 13-hectare area. Then it continues over the small wooden bridge along the Huebbach.

The Mittelthurgauer Schlossweg starts in pretty Weinfelden and leads over one or possibly two daily stages to Amriswil. The tour begins with the castle high above Weinfelden. Soon the hiking trail climbs over the Ottenberg full of vines before reaching the mountain. Its landmark is also a castle, which is now used as a retirement home. After a short time you reach Sulgen as a possible stage destination or you can continue hiking. Without any major climbs, the path continues over the idyllic...
