This 85-acre preserve is the home of Jewell Falls, Portland's only natural waterfall, as well as the site of the former Cumberland and Oxford Canal. This trail passes by Jewell Falls, the only natural waterfall within the city limits of Portland. The trail winds through the woods and towards the Fore River. The trail does pass over an actively used railroad track, so hikers should use caution here. Continue to Thompsons Point overlooking the Fore River.
