This "loop" trail is really just a walk along both sides of the Arkansas River, beginning at Exploration Place. If you follow the path mapped here, you'll cross the river almost immediately and pass The Keeper of the Plains, then head southeast along the opposite side of the river. You'll follow alongside the river all the way to the W Lincoln Street Bridge, and then turn right to head north along the trail back to where you started.
