This is a fun trail through the woods, but the trailhead can be a bit hard to find. Parking may also prove challenging, so be prepared to park a bit farther away and walk to the trailhead.

This trail is maintained regularly by volunteers from the Historic Rivers Chapter of the Virginia Master Naturalists. It is well marked out and back with orange discs and has interpretative signage for self-guided nature walks. The trailhead begins at Colonial Williamsburg’s Griffin Hotel, Green Wing’s parking lot located off of Francis Street. It terminates at the Golden Horseshoe Green Course’s Golf Clubhouse. A hiker can follow South England Street if you want to take a different route...

An easy trail that borders the resevoir for half the route. Good for all skill levels.

A nice loop trail at Waller Mill Park good for all ability levels. The trail runs by water 2/3 of the way.

Bikes are NOT allowed on the dirt portion of this trail. Most of the loop is along the water. Be prepared for a lot of steep inclines and declines. There is a $2 parking fee. The reservoir also offers paddle boarding and canoeing opportunities!
