The Haliburton House ground are perfect for a lovely stroll and are open when the Museum is closed. The Museum was opened to celebrate Windor's first aristocratic family and their accomplishments. Thomas Chandler Haliburton is one of Canada's earliest authors and is one Nova Scotia's important historic figures. Meadow Pond has an excellent reputation in Nova Scotia. To reach the body of water, you must use a dirt road crossing a majestic forest. At the entrance, there is a parking area with many spaces. The Meadow pond is stocked with new fish every year. There are usually rainbow trout and brook trout available.

Nice walk around the lake, no trees for shade on the Windsor side but once at the Falmouth side, large trees to sit under and enjoy the view of Lake Pisiquid. The trail itself is level which makes it ideal for kids of all ages and small dogs. It leads around the lake and offers several picnic spots to enjoy the park.
