This is a great city walk along a small river; you forget you are in a busy area of the city. You don't have to cross any busy streets, you simply go under them. It's an easy trail that cuts across many neighbourhoods. The signage is not great, aside from the big trail map at Grant’s Old Mill, so you may want to download the offline map.

This self-guided trail follows along a tall grass prairie preserve, with interesting interpretive signs throughout. It is easy to follow and best later in the summer when the grass is tall and the birds are abundant. Please stay on the designated paths during your visit. Access to the trail is available from dawn until dusk.

This is an easy trail through the remnant tall-grass prairie. Strolling through the prairie is best in late summer when the grasses are tall and the flowers are in bloom. This is the beginning of the longer Living Prairie Museum Loop, as can be seen here: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/canada/manitoba/living-prairie-museum-trail
Activities
Features
This is a fairly straightforward route that follows an old rail line. The trail travels partially through a densely wooded area while other sections are very exposed. While it is well used, it is also well maintained and great for a quick jog or family hike. The entire route is plowed in the winter making it accessible year round.

Features
This route follows the trails through Tom Chester park along the William R. Clement Parkway south of the Assiniboine River. The path is in good shape and easy to follow. The route crosses a major roadway at the north-most and south-most sections, so be careful when crossing the intersection. Bringing protection from the sun is recommended since most of the trail is unshaded.
