Churchill Drive Park is a pleasant route in the city with two options along the riverside. The trail leads along a gravel path along the curve of the Red River, which then turns to wood chips after going west under the Osborne Street Bridge. This section after the bridge and going towards BDI is quite lovely as it has more trees and offers nicer views of the river. The trail ends right before reaching BDI and then continues back the same way. Overall, a lovely city trail!

This route is a relaxing walk along the Red River and Lyndale Drive on the perimeter of the Norwood Flats residential community. The trail is an amazing spot to watch the sunset if you’re walking west and has a lovely park-like atmosphere for a good stroll any time of the year inside a low-traffic neighbourhood. The path itself is paved, flat with lots of benches for enjoying the river views. You're likely to see visitors with dogs and wildflowers here.

Thundering Bison Trail is a simple, mostly paved and gravel walking trail that will be good for any visitor, anytime. It is an inner-city route that begins at the River Heights Fort Garry community and runs alongside Sterling Lyon Parkway. It turns around at the intersection of the Assiniboine Forest. If you're wanting a quieter, forested route, this would be a great start to the trail network in the woods.
