This is a relatively new trail at Marshall Hampton Reserve. The trail takes visitors along pastures, swamps, and the shore of Lake Hancock. There are many opportunities to view wildlife and local flowers along the way. This is a beautiful trail covered in Spanish moss with grazing cattle, and calves. The trail is a mix of short stretches of sand, mowed grass, and gravel.

This peaceful and scenic loop travels around the pond on an exposed trail. Users recommend bringing sun protection as it can get very hot. There are many wading birds at the pond and many opportunities to observe other wildlife in the area. For those wishing to extend their route, there is a spur trail at the back of the pond to continue onto the Acorn Hammock trail.

This park is located on the northeast side of Lake Hancock, across the lake from Circle B Bar Reserve. The Reserve features a variety of environments including oak hammock areas, mesic flatwoods, hardwood forests, wetlands, and a 60-acre pond. The trail is mostly shaded and there are other routes in the area for those who wish to extend their hike.

Bring plenty of water and sun protection for this paved path. There are a few road crossings along the way. Accessibility: There are 2 designated accessible spaces in the small paved parking lot off of Denton Avenue at the south end of the trail. Both of them are van-accessible with a striped access aisle. This trail leads you through an oak canopy to a long boardwalk that gives you a feeling of 'walking on water' through the swamp. The trail ends by taking you past the old cattle pens, a reminder of the past uses of this site. Users recommend bringing sun protection as many sections of this trail are exposed. This is overall a great trail for the whole family to enjoy.
