This is a nice little hiking trail in the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge nature park. It follows the audio trail on the Rothaarsteig_Schluchtwald and the Helle-Bach to Lake Constance. The area is heavily forested and the water features are beautiful. At Lake Constance there are benches to rest. All in all a beautiful and entertaining route!

The route leads around the 696 m high Ruhrkopf and the 668 m high Hengstkopf. You also pass the source of the Ruhr. Promising section of the Rothaarsteig near Winterberg, North Rhine-Westphalia. The third stage of the Rothaarsteig begins in Winterberg. From the Kahle Asten you can enjoy the wonderful view of the surroundings as well as of the Brocken, the Feldberg and the Wasserkuppe in the Rhön. On the Heidenstock, the Rothaarsteig splits into two routes. The main path leads over the ridge to Kühhude - but to get to the ski jump you have to turn right into the valley. Panoramic hike in the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge nature park, North Rhine-Westphalia. From the train station you hike through the Kurpark, the old town of Winterberg and over the Kreuzweg around the Kreuzberg. On well-paved paths you hike down into the Orketal.
