The trail leads from the center of Zagreb towards Sljeme (1033 m), the highest peak of the Medvednica mountain. The path follows the Sljeme road, leads to the Puntijarka mountain lodge and returns to Sljeme and descends to the Grafičar mountain lodge (864 m) from where it continues along the forest path to Medvedgrad, a medieval fortified town. From Medvedgrad, the path returns to the center of Zagreb via Šestine.

Medvedrun is the official name of the race held on June 12, 2021 in Zagreb. The trail is interesting because it passes through the old part of the city and beautiful parks that tourists like to visit. The trail starts from the popular Tkalčićeva Street, continues north to the Felbinger steps that lead to Radićeva Street.
