The trail starts at the car-free, world-famous mountain village of Zermatt in the Swiss canton of Valais. A place that combines culture, sport and nature with its traditional village, its ski area, its hiking and mountain bike trails in an incredible region where the Matterhorn is located. The path goes up to Blauherd in the middle of the ski area.

This route leads to the top of the Unterrothorn, which rises to 3103 meters. The descent is via Fluhalp, where hikers can eat while enjoying a magnificent view of the Matterhorn. This challenging hike also leads close to the shimmering Lake Stellisee, which beautifully reflects the Matterhorn on its surface. A fantastic tour in the Mattertal, probably the most beautiful valley in the canton of Valais.

Very nice route from Zermatt, which leads through five mountain lakes. Zermatt is the ultimate cult place with the well-known Matterhorn, its great hiking trails, the beautiful mountain village and its ski area that is open almost all year round. The trail is more technical and longer, making a circuit of the Leisee and the Mosjesee in the Swiss canton of Valais.

This trail starts at the mountain station of the Gornergratbahn. Then it goes first through Zermatt and then up to Furi. Along the Zmurtbach stream it goes higher up until the shore of the small yet picturesque Schwarzsee lake is reached. A few kilometers later the trail reaches the Gornergrat peak and then goes back again in a wide arc. Along the tour there are dozens of ways to shorten the route as one wishes.

This great hike is located in the Mattertal in the canton of Valais. The path begins in Zermatt and leads through the Üsseri Wälder to Adler Hitta and up to Sunnegga at 2288 m above sea level. Not far from there is the beautiful Leisee. The ideal place to cool down and relax after a long hike. The panoramic view of the majestic Matterhorn is an unforgettable experience.
