This beautiful hike is located in the canton of Valais and starts above Zermatt in Zmutt. It's a great loop going via Chalbermatten to the Zmuttbachfall waterfall. From the path continues towards the Trifthütte via Höhbalmen. A fantastic mix of mountains and their views, forest, river and nature in the popular mountain village of Zermatt. Hikers recommend doing this trail clockwise and leave early in the morning to see the sunrise against the Matterhorn.

This circular hike is of medium difficulty. The starting point is the mountaineers' cemetery in Zermatt and from there it goes up in the direction of Am Stalden Weg, through a beautiful forest to Ze Gassu. It then continues to Eggen and from there clockwise around the Leisee. From here you can enjoy a fantastic panorama of the Matterhorn. It then goes back via Ze Gassu, down to Zermatt, to the starting point. There are many playgrounds along the way.
