The trail starts at the car-free, world-famous mountain village of Zermatt in the Swiss canton of Valais. A place that combines culture, sport and nature with its traditional village, its ski area, its hiking and mountain bike trails in an incredible region where the Matterhorn is located. The path is difficult and long with a lot of altitude difference and goes to the Schonbielhütte and the Hörnlihütte.

Access is via the Gornergratbahn at an altitude of over 3089 m. The view is magnificent over the famous surrounding mountains. The descent is sometimes very demanding towards the Grünsee. Then, that fun. The path of the same name takes you back to Zermatt.

The route starts in Zermatt in the canton of Valais and climbs around 400 meters in altitude to the cozy Edelweiss restaurant (1961m). Perfect as a family excursion with a fantastic view of the Rothorn and the Gornergrat. Zermatt is world-famous for the Matterhorn and the ideal starting point in summer (bike, hiking, jogging) and winter for all types of skiing.

The path goes up to Zmutt next to the lake on a rather shorter tour.

This circular hike is of medium difficulty. The starting point is the mountaineers' cemetery in Zermatt and from there it goes up in the direction of Am Stalden Weg, through a beautiful forest to Ze Gassu. It then continues to Eggen and from there clockwise around the Leisee. From here you can enjoy a fantastic panorama of the Matterhorn. It then goes back via Ze Gassu, down to Zermatt, to the starting point. There are many playgrounds along the way.
