This great hike is the fifth stage of the ViaGottardo and is located in the canton of Aargau. Beautiful and quiet paths go through the Mittelland to the highlight at Santeberg with the Chätzigerhöchi. Enjoy the fantastic view of the city of Lucerne. The stage destination is the small town of Sursee directly on Lake Sempach. This beautiful hike starts from Zofingen in the Swiss canton of Aargau. Enjoy this small town and do a little walk to the old town. The path then goes in the direction of the Heiternplatz and Heiteren and makes a loop in the forest before returning to the starting point in Zofingen.

This circular route is particularly suitable for a bike ride, as most of it leads on paved roads through the cultural landscape. It starts in Zofingen at the train station and following the river Wigger it repeatedly reaches small settlements and drives past forests and fields. After about half of the route it come to the river Rot and follows it to St.Urban and then across on paved roads through the Unterwald and Boowald forests.

The trail starts in Zofingen at the train station and then leads first through the nice old town, which is considered one of the most beautiful and best preserved in Switzerland. It is reminiscent of an irregular rectangle of around 470 meters in length and a maximum width of 225 meters and is a typical Frohburg facility. Then it continues via Adelboden to Reiden along the edge of the forest. From there you can take the train back.
