You will find the Develroute in the Munnikendevel recreation area. The Devel is a former peat river, once filled in and dug out again in 1985. Since then, a special nature has developed, with wide reed collars in which birds like to nest and many different flowers. The walking route passes a birdwatching screen and the old late Gothic church of Kijfhoek, dating from the 14th century.

A strip of greenery lies between Barendrecht and the Oude Maas. Several areas here together form the Oude Maas recreation area. You can explore all these areas with this circular walk. You leave Heerjansdam on the edge of the Zuidpolder. After a round around the Vredepolder you walk into the Ziedewijdse Land and the Spuipolder. Here you walk right along the river. Finally, you make a tour around the polder of Heerjansdam.

Located in the Hoeksche Waard, this walk from Sint Anthoniepolder offers a beautiful walking route, along the Binnenbedijkte Maas and many more waterways. The farm landscape is filled with historic farms and sweeping views.

The Ziedewijdse Land is part of the Oude Maas recreation area, a strip of greenery located in the middle of Barendrecht and the Oude Maas. The route takes you through the woods and along the river, where you pass a romantic hut. You also walk along the track and the pick-up point of the Maasoever Railway, the playground and the pancake house, which makes this walk ideal for children.

The Waalbos is a new forest located in the bend of the Waal near Ridderkerk. In the forest, much attention is paid to nature-oriented recreation and education for young and old. In addition to the river Waal, you will find numerous other bodies of water in the forest, many of which you will pass during this circular walk. There is a restaurant at the starting point, otherwise you will not come across any catering establishments on the way. There are some picnic spots.
