This trail includes a combination of the Prairie’s Edge Tour Loop, Great River State Bike Trail and some abandoned service roads in the Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge. Hikers looking to complete the hike as mapped here can park at the Great River State Trail trailhead. You can spot a lot of wildlife, including water and terrestrial birds, snakes, black bear and coyote. This is a great walk/hike for dogs, but because it's sensitive nature preserve, all dogs must be on leash.
