A mid-mountain hiking route in the Orlu Valley leads you to the Dent d'Orlu (also called Pic de Brasseil), one of the French Pyrenees' peaks at an altitude of 2,222 meters. The panorama at the top is splendid. The course starts on the banks of the Lauze, near the D25. You will also cross the Bois de la Bassugue. If you are lucky, you may come across deer along the way.

This sixth stage of the GR®107 starts in the parking lot near the Notre-Dame-de-la-Visitation church in Orgeix in the Ariège department. This route climbs to the Col de Joux (1,781 meters) and crosses the communal forest of Ax-les-Thermes. It then descends towards Mérens-les-Vals.

This route is the fifth stage of the GR®107, the Great Hike that connects Ariège to Catalonia, which is also called the "Chemin des Bonshommes". This stage starts at the Chioula refuge, and goes to the charming old village of Orgeix in the Orlu valley. Along the way, you will cross a forest of fir trees, and the picturesque village of Ascou, known for its ski resort.

This hiking trail starts in the car park located in the immediate vicinity of the Saint-Vincent church in Ax-les-Thermes in the Ariège department. This route draws a loop that winds through the Oriège shepherds. It passes in particular by the lake of Campauleil, Orlu or the Forges d'Orlu.
