The route starts at Capela São José and follows a partially paved path, covering part of the BR-50 and MGC-383 highways, with steep and uneven sections. The trail passes through Pico do Imbiri, which has a picturesque viewpoint of 1800 meters of wooden deck and views of the Serra da Mantiqueira forest.

The landscape is mainly forest, with some areas with houses and undergrowth. On the way back, the trail passes through the lower part of Morro dos Barradas.

The trail is carried out on a dirt road for most of the route, it starts at high altitude, followed by a long descent that requires a lot of attention. The path passes through forested areas, with a great diversity of trees and animals, passes through narrow paths and low vegetation, has a long demanding climb and views of beautiful landscapes of nature.

The trail starts in Campos do Jordão, and goes down the Serra da Mantiqueira, passing through Santo Antônio do Pinhal and ends in Pindamonhangaba at the foot of the mountain range. The path goes from one point to the other. If you are excited, it is possible to climb the mountain back to Campos do Jordão. The trail crosses the Mananciais de Campos do Jordão State Park. Created in 1993, the Park has several species of fauna and flora native to the region.
