The Annapolis Valley Trail System is a well-kept trail running along the Annapolis River from Deep Brook to Berwick. The trails are groomed in the winter and pass through forests, farms, and villages. The paths are suitable for walking, cycling, and ATV riding, though gravel tires may be needed for road bikes to handle the terrain. There are some minor changes in elevation but the path is mostly flat.

There is a small dirt lot by the trailhead off of Fales River Drive. The path is fairly easy to follow but there is no signage, so keeping AllTrails open while you navigate can help to stay on course. The forest has lots of mosquitos, so bringing insect repellent is recommended in the spring and summer.

This winding trail along the river includes some picnic tables, a couple of wooden bridges, and two look-off points at the river. It's a popular spot for dog walking and beautiful in the fall season.
