Herberg De Fazant

This wonderful nature walk takes you around the water of the Oudemolensche Diep, through De Gagels and over the Gasterse Duinen. In a short time you get to see a large variety of natural areas. Scottish Highlanders graze in De Gagels, special plants grow and many birds live. In the Gasterse Duinen you can walk through the shifting sands and around the fens. In winter you can have a chance of flooding here, keep that in mind.

Walk in two completely different loops through nature south of Oudemolen. The first loop takes you around the Oudemolense forest, along the heaths with fens. The second loop of the trail runs around the winding river Gastersche Diep, where the water is surrounded by beautiful nature.

Fantastic loop that is entirely dominated by two rivers that meander through nature. Starting near Oudemolen, you first walk around the larger of the two, the Oudemolense Diep. After crossing the river you come to the point where the river splits in two, and you follow the smaller but no less beautiful Anlooërdiepje. This river takes you to the edges of the Schipborg estate and the Gasterse Duinen. In the Gasterse Duinen you walk past the dolmen. The last part runs through the Oudemolense Bos...

During this loop trail between Oudemolen and Taarlo you hike through the river valleys of the Oudemolense Diep. The nature reserve that surrounds the rivers is called De Heest, an area rich in birds and plants that benefit from the rivers that flow through the country. The last part of the trail takes you through the Oudemolense Bos, through forest and heath. You will not come across a restaurant during this trail, but there is a restaurant near the starting point in Oudemolen.

Walk around the Oudemolense Diep, through Oudemolen and past the historic windmill De Zwaluw after which the village and the river are named. Along the way you walk through the Oudemolense Bos, you visit the burial mound in the Molenveld heathland and you walk through the countryside. There is a restaurant in Oudemolen, otherwise you will not come across any facilities on the way.
