Pousada Dom Petrópolis

This trail has a long extension, being carried out on partially paved terrain. The route is carried out from one point to another, starting at high altitude and after constant descent. The trail borders part of highway 040 and a large part of the Piabanha River, passing through forested areas, overlooking lakes and beautiful scenery of nature.

The Tinguá Biological Reserve in Rio de Janeiro, with an area of 26 thousand hectares, was created to protect the natural heritage of the region with an Atlantic Forest biome. The route starts at Rua Teresa and follows the Três Pedras trail, a very short mountain trail, but with a very steep climb. Its look is very different, even though it is located in an urban area, the mountain has a very large green area and a peace that is incomparable.

The Tinguá Biological Reserve in Rio de Janeiro has an area of 26 thousand hectares, it was created to protect the natural heritage of the region with the Atlantic Forest biome. The route departs from the Mosela neighborhood or through the Retiro neighborhood, with roads covered with low vegetation and rocky elevations. The path is rewarding, its summit has an altitude of around 1,540m, and you can have beautiful views of the entire city.

During the way we can see the dense forest and lookouts between the trees. Arriving at the top you can admire the beauty of Pedra do Retiro, which offers a fantastic view of the city.

The route is short and advanced, carried out within the Tinguá Federal Biological Reserve. The reserve extends over an area of 26,000 hectares and covers six cities, most of which are within the municipality of Nova Iguaçu. The trail has access to a large hill, called Pedra do Lagoinha, passes through steep and rugged stretches, reaching an altitude of 1520 m and beautiful views for contemplation.
