This route includes the official nature center trail and some of the Fountain Creek Regional trail to create a loop. This route takes you around a pond near the nature center, and on a second loop near the creek. The route makes a figure-eight shape with two consecutive loops.

Along this awesome hike, you'll be able to enjoy views of Cheyenne Mtn, access to Dixon Trail from North Talon trail, lots of evidence of animals (from coyotes, bighorn sheep, mountain lions and of course, plenty of deer). Newlin Creek Trail is used primarily for hiking, but is also open to mountain bikes and horses. Primitive camping is available, but be mindful of fire restrictions as this is a high fire danger area. The trail is easy for approximately the first .5 miles, it becomes moderate after that. There are single track and loose stone areas.
