The trail is a study area that supports a variety of plants and wildlife, including whitetail deer, wild turkeys, beavers, great blue heron and other species of waterfowl. The trail is mostly a woodchip path with bridges and boardwalks for an easy hike around the wetland areas.

Moderate trail with some rolling hills. This is a great cross country skiing trail in the winter. The trail is well marked and has a few benches scattered throughout to stop and enjoy the peace. Lots of berry bushes to enjoy if your out during berry season!

Scenic trail that travels next to the Pine River. The trail is pretty well marked and cleared of debris. Along the way you will travel through thickets, old forests and bluffs over looking the river. Keep an eye out for wildlife too! Backcountry camping is not allowed on this trail. Be prepared to car camp in Silver Creek Campground.
