This is a nice flat trail that is great for a quick walk in the area. The majority of this hike is along a sandy trail, which passes by dunes and through flatland ecosystems. Explore the sandy coast full of a variety of local flora and fauna. If you walk along the beach towards the campground, make sure to stop by the Sidetrack trail for some history!

The trail surface is made of a soft dirt trail lined with coral and ends at a citrus farm with avocado, lemon, and mangoes to look at.

This is many users' favorite local spot to SUP, canoe, or kayak! Please note, this is not intended as a hiking trail and is only available for paddling. The waters are calm and peaceful, making for an enjoyable paddle out on the water. Enjoy the mangrove tunnels and observe the birdlife in the area.

Sections of this trail close periodically due to flooding. Please check with the park desk before attempting. This is a great walk with a diverse landscape if you’re making your way through the Keys! While this path is partially paved, it's mostly a gravel path through the forest. Users recommend bringing bug spray due to the number of bugs present in the warm months.
