This is one of the oldest forts in the region being built in the 12th century by Kolhapur Silahara chief Bhoja II. Being so old this fort has seen a lot of things and if the walls could talk there would be so much they would tell. There isn't a lot of greenery in this region but this dry arduous terrain is something one should experience, especially at sunrise, sunset, and even night.
