The entrance to this trail is just off to the right of the Botanical Bay entrance. The trail itself is wide and well maintained on a gravel path with a gentle grade. Check the tides before planning your time on the beach - low tide gives you the best experience. Couple this with a walk along the shore to Botanical Beach or even take the loop trail on the way back.

This area has some trails on either side of the highway. The north trail leads to a cool knotty tree at the top. The south loop trail generally has less traffic and is more scenic, with tons of old growth trees as well. Stairs make the incline easier and accessible for all fitness levels. The canopy shelters the trail and makes it a good option even on a rainy day.
