Parking is not available at the trailhead, so remember not to drive to the point indicated on the map, as this is not a drivable location. Visitors can park in town and take the free gondola up, or park at the parking garage in Mountain Village (free) and access the trailhead via the free gondola. The hike itself is quite steep in sections, so proper footwear is a must.

This trail is moderately difficult in the summer/fall, but in the snowy months it can get very icy and dangerous, no matter how experienced you are. Please be safe and make sure someone is with you, if you’re unfamiliar with this trail and go during snowy season! It is also recommended to use spikes when conditions are cold enough for a freeze.
