This is a paved pathway that makes for a great way to explore the surrounding area by bike or foot. There are beautiful views of the beach and canal along the way and plenty of wildlife to see in the area. The Venetian Waterways Trail links up with the Legacy Trail at the Historic Venice Train Depot.

This is a short pleasant path. It is well marked with lots of beautiful flowers. Look for an osprey fishing as you pass by the water section. This is a lovely hike towards South Creek with many opportunities to observe the active wildlife and coastal birds in the area. The trail is mostly shaded and travels through a forested area. If you are staying in the campground, this is the closest trail and you can hike from your camping site directly to the trail.

There are a variety of surfaces along this trail, including grass, sand, asphalt, and concrete. Wildlife possibilities here include gators, gopher tortoises, raccoons, ospreys, and the rare Florida scrub jay.
