An ideal route for marathon trail-running training, or for a longer day-cycle or day-hike through the extensive green wedge of Manningham just outside of Melbourne that serves as a habitat corridor for native fauna along the Yarra River, also called the Birrarung by the Wurundjeri people who are the traditional owners of this land. This route can be taken in smaller sections, and commenced from many different parks and reserves with great facilities along these green wedges.

A simple suburban trail located about 18 kilometres east of Melbourne Central Business District. This looped route takes you on an anti clockwise loop of Wattle Park, located in the suburb of Burwood. The trail itself features gravel paths with some gradual inclines and a loop on a dirt track near the end of the walk.

This trail from Canterbury Road to Burwood Highway is a great route through the lovely green scenery of Gardiners Creek Reserve. The trail is pram-friendly following a paved and well-maintained dirt track. The reserve features an off-leash section for dogs to have a run and socialise. There is also shelters, BBQs, tables, bins and a water tap (with a bowl for your fur-sty companion).

Blacks Walk is a portion of the well-known Blackburn Creeklands and is situated in the residential areas of Blackburn. The walk offers a fantastic circuit path through towering trees and chirping wildlife. The route begins from Pakenham Street and follows wide unsealed tracks that can get muddy after rain. This trail follows a mixed-use track so be conscious of others as you navigate the route.

The perfect dog friendly trail - a hidden treasure in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria - about 14 km east of Melbourne's CBD. This looped route begins from the parking area at Hungry Jacks - on the corner of Burwood Highway and Elgar Road. From here you'll explore the Gardiner's Creek Trail - fantastic wide paths that are good for kids on scooters, bikes runners and walkers. There are lots of dogs around, both on and off the lead.
