Damper Creek Reserve is a linear peaceful bushland haven of 11 hectares along the creek in the middle of suburbia used by walkers - ie many residents, families, children and dog walkers. Well behaved dogs are allowed off lead, under voice command, walking close to their owners who must pick up dog droppings, and carry a lead at all times. A short and sweet suburban walk through Bushy Park Wetlands near Melbourne, Victoria. This trail has some nice views over the wetlands and passes a bird hideout. The partially paved path starts at the western end of Highbury Road and heads south following Dandenong Creek Trail. The bird hide is located in the southern section of the park and offers a great vantage point to spot some of the waterbirds that call the wetlands home.

Gardiners Creek Trail is a paved shared path that follows Gardiners Creek through the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The route uses short sections of the Anniversary Trail and connects with Main Yarra Capital City Trails. Mostly bush and park settings. The trail is used for cycling, running walking and a safe way to commute between areas along the way or for exercising. Dogs can be off-lead in a huge area on both sides of the creek behind Deakin university.

An enjoyable trail through the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. This looped route begins and ends from Furness Park off Blackburn Road. Enjoy making your way along the northern banks of Gardeners Creek before crossing over at Black Walk Reserve and returning via the Gardeners Creek Trail on the southern banks of the creek. There is lots of shade along this relatively flat walk which is a good one to bring your dog along on.

This circuit takes in the various vistas of Blackburn Lake Sanctuary which is in the outer suburbs of Melbourne. Nice scenic track around the Lake with lots of stop off points to sit down on a bench and enjoy the view. There are also many waterbirds that call it home. Nice quiet bush tracks and dogs on leash are allowed which is a bonus.
