A huge and challenging walk located in the northern suburbs of greater Perth. This is a great route for either exercise or enjoying the nature and serenity of the lake. This is a bird watchers dream with a vast amount of shoreline viewing areas. This is a fairly large walk to undertake in a day so leaving early is recommended. If not walking this is a great short day ride to undertake in a easy going manner.

Lime stone armored track that is used by hikers and bike riders alike. Lots of low lying growth that offers minimal sun protection. Some fabulous wildlife you can expect to see snakes, blue tongue lizards and bird life. It handrails along Wanneroo road, well signed and easy to follow, no water refill on trail so ensure you carry plenty.

A great little circuit that takes in a portion of untouched bushland right in the midst of North Perth. This is a lovely way to spend a morning or afternoon amongst the jarrah in a peaceful spot. You'll find plenty of other trails nearby to explore if you're looking for more kilometres with the Yellagonga Regional Park located jus to the West.

A surprisingly good trail so close to Perth, Western Australia. This out and back route begins and ends from where Burns Beach Road intersects with Blue Mountain Drive. From here you'll make your way along the trail until you reach Hester Avenue, the turnaround point of this route. You never quite lose the traffic noise from the Freeway or Wanneroo road, but apart from that, you could be a way out in the bush. The Yaberoo Budjara Heritage Trail is a historical Aboriginal path used by Yellagonga and his people as they moved between Lake Joondalup and Yanchep. The route is easily accessible with a car park in Burns Beach Rd at the start of the trail. The trail is mostly a hard-packed limestone surface and performs well for trail running, walking, hiking, mountain biking, and dog walking – although only as far as the Yanchep section where dogs are not permitted.
