This route goes through forest and field landscapes, and also along the shore of the lake. The route offers a leisurely round in relaxing landscapes. The route starts along Kirjavalatie, goes all the way to Susiniemi, and returns back to the starting point.

Punkaharju is famous for its wonderful scenery, and this route starts from Finnish Forest Museum Lusto, so it's good to stop there before starting the trip. The route runs along side roads in wonderful forest landscapes and following the shorelines to Kerimäki. From here, the trip continues west through Anttola to Savonlinna. The route ends in Vääräsaari near Vuorilinna.

The Punkaharju Nature Reserve has been an internationally renowned tourist destination for several centuries. Its rugged pine trees and beautiful lake views create Finland's national landscape. The Kokonharju nature trail runs through steep ridges and along the route you can admire Finland's longest tree. The route is marked in orange. At the steepest points are wooden stairs that may be slippery in the rain. There is no winter maintenance on the route.
